2007 Venue: Dubai World Trade Centre - The biggest in the series, the show’s 14th edition occupied 24,600 square metres - up 11 per cent on 2006. Exhibitors: Nearly 2,600 exhibitors – a 24 per cent increase over the previous year - from 64 countries, participated 115 exhibitors were new to the show from 34 countries with first-time representation from China, Croatia, Macau, Palestine, Peru, Ras Al Khaimah, Swaziland, Taiwan and Zimbabwe Visitors: More than 12,850 trade professionals from 108 countries attended - up 5.1 per cent on 2006 – with an eight per cent increase in overseas visitors The show recorded a seven per cent increase in media, attracting more than 1,000 local, regional and international journalists Arabian Travel Market 2007 featured a host of initiatives, including an expanded seminar programme, an upgraded media centre and a new dedicated area for travel and technology |
