The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai has taken the hospitality industry by storm, being honoured an incredible 15 times during its first year of operation. The first award came from the Guinness Book of World Records, when it was named the world’s tallest hotel. Multiple media awards followed, including honours from Business Traveller Middle East, Time Out Dubai, Cherry Pick Dubai and Black Hat Guide.

In the latter part of the year, further awards for the Marquis Dubai included the International Hotels Awards Best Hotel 5* award and Best Convention Hotel 5* award, as well as World Travel Awards World’s Leading New Hotel award.

Three of the chefs at the hotel have also either been honoured or shortlisted for future award events. General Manager Rupprecht Queitsch said: "The JW Marriott Marquis is an iconic property and we are delighted to see this reflected through so many prestigious awards.

“The hotel has been recognised globally by the travel industry, esteemed through the regional media, with members of our on-property team lauded for their outstanding skills.” Queitsch concluded: “In just 12 months, the JW Marriott Marquis has made an impact on the global stage and established itself as a leading MICE hotel which also has a competitive leisure offering.”
