Langkawi Development Authority (LADA)
Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) is the premier agency that regulates and implement tourism development in Langkawi. LADA also stimulate and accelerate socio-economic development on the island. Langkawi comprises a group of 99 tropical islands lying off the north western coast of Peninsular Malaysia that attract about 2.44 million visitors in the year 2010 and generated 1.9 million MYR tourist receipts. With the new Tourism Blueprint 2012 – 2015, Langkawi is expected to receive about 3 million visitors by year 2015 and will generate about 3.8 billion MYR tourist receipts from the tourism industry.
