Despite the challenging economic climate, wholesalers, tour operators and travel agents across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) continue to book accommodation and experiences with GTA (Gullivers Travel Associates). While demand for intra-regional destinations and European cities – particularly Paris, London, Rome and Barcelona – remains strong across key MEA markets including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Turkey, there has been significant growth to Asian destinations with Kuala Lumpur and Penang featuring in the top ten.

Indeed a brand new ‘Best of Asia Pacific’ brochure will be launched at Arabian Travel Market (30 April to 3 May) featuring recommended hotels throughout the region as well as Australia’s Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. GTA is also preparing for an increase in religious tourism as it fine-tunes the range of accommodation available to those booking Umrah travel for clients.
