The Spires serviced Suites target the Middle East and Indian Markets in the Arabian Travel Market to promote more of Britain.
The Spires Serviced Suites aim to promote more of Britain to the Middle Eastern and Indian travel markets at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai from the 30th of April until the 3rd of May.
The Arabian Travel Market helps businesses from all across the world promote their business to the Middle East and Asian travel markets over the years.
The Spires Suites have been in operation since 1995 and are located in the United Kingdom in three different cities, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Birmingham. Over the past 6 years The Spires National Sales Manager, Craig Duguid has been travelling to Dubai, this year Managing Director Margaret Beattie will be accompanying him to promote the Spires in the Travel Market.
The 2011 exhibition review by the Arabian Travel Market revealed the overall attendance was up by 15% on the 2010 event. This shows the strength of the regional tourism industry and established the event’s position as the leading travel exhibition for the Middle East according to the 2011 review.
Arab families researched by VisitBritain in July 2008, found that both Emiratis and Expat Arabs are exceptionally brand conscious and see London as an aspiring brand. According to the website, Arab youth knowledge of Britain is stuck in a 1980’s time warp, focusing on the Royal Family, Harrods and almost exclusively London.
The Spires aim to change this by targeting both the corporate and leisure market and by using their online resources to direct more information on other parts of the United Kingdom towards the younger Arab generation.
Although the rest of Britain is left out, research conducted by VisitBritain on UAE families has discovered that they are interested in finding out more information about different regions in Britain. The Spires will strive in promoting their three locations of Aberdeen, Glasgow and Birmingham and show the Middle East and Indian markets that there is a lot more to Britain than London. Fortunately Aberdeen, Glasgow and Birmingham boast international airports and have booming business industries within each city, especially the oil and gas industry of Aberdeen.
In December 2011, the National Tourism Agency Visit Britain has revealed that its 2012 visitor forecast discloses that the UK should attract 30.7 million visitors in 2012 spending £17.6 billion in the process.
2012 will see Britain hosting an array of events. The Olympic Games held in London this year, is the opportune moment for businesses across the UK especially in the hospitality industry to promote globally. Fortunately for the Spires, the Birmingham apartments are a great location for any Olympic attendees; it’s only a 90 minute train journey into London city centre.
Craig Duguid, national sales manager for the Spires has attended the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai for the past 6 years, and has said,
“The Arabian Travel Market has been very beneficial to The Spires, especially in Glasgow and I hope this will continue in the future”.
The hard work that the Spires put in to promote the company throughout the year is testimony that The Spires promise to deliver the highest standard of accommodation and service to each and every one of their guests whether they are corporate or leisure travellers.
This event will allow The Spires to continue their growing relations with Indian and Middle Eastern markets in developing a general interest in not only the three cities The Spires are located but Britain as a whole.
