In June 2011 the VIP Wing opened its doors to travelers who adore special services and exclusive treatment. Situated in the southern wing of Terminal 1, the bright, spacious rooms in the new lounge have a total area of 1,200 square meters. Regardless of seating class or carrier, passengers at Munich Airport seeking individual and exclusive services can book and have access to a wide range of VIP services. Chauffeured limousines shuttle the guests in luxury from and to the aircraft. The lounge is staffed by multilingual representatives and offers airport guests all-round support. Personal assistants can organize all the traveler's flight-related processes and formalities such as immigration support, check-in, baggage-handling, tax refund and customs clearance while guests relax in the VIP Lounge. The offerings include access to the VIP open-air garden, an upscale VIP Wing with a bar, spacious VIP bath and shower facilities, and an elegant VIP cigar lounge. For a quiet rest or nap, VIP guests can select from private suites with spectacular tarmac views, each of them has its own individual furnishings and décor. Facilities at the VIP Wing also include a fully equipped conference suite which may be booked in advance. International papers, magazines, TV channels and complimentary Internet access keep the guest updated. Designers of this Lounge considered many facets of the traveler’s interests and even included a multi-faith prayer room.
