The delegation was received by Mr. François Gabriel Ceyrac, Director of National Committee and Membership at ICC who welcomed the Ajman chamber delegation that included Nassir Al Dhifri , Assistant Director General of Media and Corporate Communications Sector, Mohammed Al Janahi Assistant Director of Key Services Sector, and Sheikha Al Nuaimi Head of International Relations Department . During his meeting with Ajman chamber’s delegation, Mr. François gave an explanation about the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and one of its major activities , “ World Chambers Congress” . World Chambers Congress is a forum held biennially which addresses key issues of global economy and discusses ways to support chambers’ work and activities .It is also a unique opportunity to promote relations between chambers of commerce around the world . Mr. François further added that the next World Chambers Congress will be held next year, 2013 in the Qatari capital Doha. He also explained that the International Court of Arbitration, which is an institution for resolution of commercial disputes between companies around the world, is part of the International Chamber of Commerce . For her own part , Sheikha Al Nuaimi said that this visit was initiated by the Chamber’s keenness to strengthen international relations with its partners around the world , and ICC is considered one of the major international organizations that Ajman chamber has ties with , as the chamber is a member in the National Committee of ICC in the UAE . Therefore Ajman Chamber seeks through this visit to identify the most important activities of this organization and promote mutual cooperation by serving members of the chamber, and it also seeks to benefit from the activities organized by ICC . Al Nuaimi added that Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry gives importance to the consolidation of international relations with various international organizations and entities that are related to economy and the work of chambers of commerce . Thus this visit to ICC was preceded by other previous visits such as the visit to Paris Chamber , the visit to Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the visit to the Arab Swiss Chamber. In addition to that , Ajman Chamber had signed international memorandums of understanding with Singapore Business Federation and Almeria Chamber of Commerce in Spain.
