As newly appointed general manager of Six Senses Zighy Bay, Oman, Axel Jarosch oversees the resort’s daily operations and guest experiences.
On his appointment in April, he was eagerly looking forward to leading his team to success, commenting: “I am looking forward to integrating and leading this talented team, and creating experiences that will bring our guests back time and time again.”
Before joining Six Senses Zighy Bay, Jarosch was operations director in charge of hotel openings for Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas based in Abu Dhabi.
There, he was responsible for the soon-to-open 224-room hotel based in the capital. Prior to that, he held the position of general manager at Anantara Al Madina A’Zarqa Oman Resort & Spa during its pre-opening stage.
At luxury boutique company Per AQUUM, he was general manager of the Desert Palm Retreat & Spa in Dubai and general manager of The Fortress Sri Lanka Resort & Spa. Additionally, he has held a number of senior positions in Constance Hotels at its Seychelles, Namibia and Mauritius based properties.
Jarosch explained: “My passion is up-market, boutique resorts. Working with Six Senses is exactly the kind of intimate brand where we have the ability to instantaneously transform with guest feedback and grow along with our guests.”
