Do you have something to say?

As I started putting my thoughts together for my third weekly blog, it occurred to me that to say something of genuine value or interest to those within this industry, I’m clearly going to need first-hand input from those very same people.
With that in mind, this particular blog should be viewed as a call to action (or a cry for help, if you like), aimed at people currently working in travel and tourism, or anyone who has a personal or professional interest in the industry.
For future reference, I am a writer and editor, currently working on ATM’s new official event magazines known as Inside ATM. Previously, I worked on ATM’s Premier magazine, as well as putting together event publications for London’s World Travel Market.
I know the industry, but I still feel as though I’m on the outside looking in, which is where you come in, because I really want this blog to focus on the issues that are getting you lot hot under the collar right now.
In terms of my remit, you could say it’s broad (you might say it’s vague). The nice people at ATM told me to discuss issues that matter to the industry and to make it MENA-relevant ‘where appropriate’. Other than that… ‘just have fun with it’.
With this in mind – and rather than me list every sector and sub-sector within travel and tourism – I’ll just say this: HELP!
I want to run some interviews, maybe get involved in a couple of arguments, I’m happy to give a platform to someone who’s ready to say something controversial, and I’d love to namecheck some of the unsung heroes of the industry.
If you are interested in getting involved email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
