Jamie Bell

Day 3 of Arabian Travel Market 2013 was business as usual. Quality and quantity of exhibitors, visitors and buyers, plus another packed day of education across the ATM Event Programme.

VIDEO -  We managed to catch-up with Mark Walsh, ATM’s Portfolio Director who gave us his thoughts on how the event has gone so far and a taster of what is still to come tomorrow.

Happy birthday ATM…

Today saw Arabian Travel Market celebrate its 20th Anniversary. There was an official cake cutting ceremony at midday and over at the Internet Café attendees have been posting their favourite memories from the last 20 years on our pin-board.

VIDEO - Throughout the week we have been asking participants why they think Arabian Travel Market continues to be the regions must attend travel industry event. Here is what they said.

Don’t forget, if you haven’t already paid the pin-board a visit, stop by tomorrow and share your favorite memory with us.

Stamp collectors…

Travel Agents were out in force again today. Busy touring exhibitor stands, learning more about destinations and getting their ATM passports stamped for the chance to win some fantastic prizes in Thursday’s draw.

VIDEO - We spoke to Kim Thomson from competition partner TTN earlier today, here is what she had to say.

The prize draw takes place at 2.45pm tomorrow afternoon, so there is still plenty of time to complete your passport tomorrow morning and be in with a chance to win!

Google it…

A line-up of Google’s top travel experts gave comprehensive insight into Google’s perspective on the industry worldwide, in this afternoon’s Google Think Travel Event. The implication of mobile for travel and social branding were also covered in this very popular session.

VIDEO - After the event we asked Google's Head of Global Top Accounts for Travel, Dr. Bernd Fauser to sum up his main points from today's session.

Anyone for golf?

Golf was in the spotlight today, in particular Golf in the Middle East. Speakers from Troon Golf Abu Dhabi and Emirates Golf Club Dubai considered the impact golf tourism has had on the region.
